Thus, the man who can hardly see in the darkness marks his path with the short flashes of a camera as he makes his way through Death Valley. Each of them illuminates a few centimetres of the ground, a tiny detail of the landscape, whose desert character, the hostility to life of its burning heat and the glaring daylight is well known.
